Consumer Consent Generally

By accessing or using Quotestorm’s Services, you are a “Consumer” or “Quotestorm Consumer” who is at least 16 years of age and who consents to having your personal information collected, stored, used, transferred, shared, or disclosed, as the case may be, internally within the organization of Quotestorm, and externally vis a vis third parties as Quotestorm deems desirable to provide its services, such as insurance companies, agencies, agents, or representatives. If a potential user or consumer of Quotestorm’s services objects to having his or her personal information handled in the manners prescribed under this Privacy Policy, as set forth below, such a person’s sole recourse is to fully refrain from providing Quotestorm with any Personal Information to begin with, and to cease any use of or access to Quotestorm services. Any Consumer of Quotestorm who utilizes its services will not be able to “opt out” of a given request for a quote, product, or service once the request is initiated. Finally, Quotestorm’s operations are geographically limited to the United States, however, a Consumer may also reside outside the United States and disclose his or her information from, for example, locales in Europe, Asia, or the Middle East; in such a case, the Consumer consents to having his or her information transferred internationally from such locale to within the United States.

Contents Of Personal Information And Methods Of Transmission

Your personal information may include sensitive and confidential matter, including identifiers, contact information, and financial, social or medical information concerning you. It may include the consumer’s name, sex, date of birth, address, email, preferences, zip codes, and telephone number; the consumer’s blogs or postings on public domains; information concerning the consumer’s home or vehicle ownership; information concerning a consumer’s browser, IP address, location, device information, hardware information, operating system information, data caches, GPS and location information, Cookies, date/time stamps, clicks data, Internet Service Provider information, web pages information, and any and all information necessary or desirable for Quotestorm to provide its services. Methods of collecting such information include, but are not limited to, marketing, telemarketing, surveys, forms which the Consumer fills out, third party or affiliate websites, applications, social media, blogs, and public forums. The aforesaid information may be shared by Quotestorm with third parties; the Consumer’s mere use or access to Quotestorm services constitutes express consent to Quotestorm sharing such information with Third parties.

Consumer’s Consent To Quotehstorm’s “Collection” Of Personal Information

Your use of Quotestorm ‘s websites and services means that you have agreed and consented to the Terms and Conditions of Use and to this Privacy Policy. Quotestorm’s Privacy Policy, which is set forth herein at length, provides a description of Quotestorm means and methods of collecting, sharing, and using your personal data and information, which is a necessary component of Quotestor’s services. Quotestorm is in the business of providing its consumers with competitive quotes on premiums of insurance policies and products. Quotestorm thus aims to connect its consumers with the insurance companies or agencies most desirable for the consumer. Incident to this business model,Quotestorm services necessarily include, but are not limited to, collecting consumer information through its websites, the websites of its affiliates or independent contractors, its applications, and other technology.

Consumer’s Consent To Quotestorm’s “Use” Of Information

The Consent hereby granted to Quotestorm by Consumers for “use” of personal information shall be interpreted broadly to include any lawful or legally permissible purpose, including but not limited to, contacting the Consumer for commercial transacting, marketing, advertising, gathering further information, making promotional offers, engaging third parties, resolving formal or informal grievances or disputes, or customer support, as the same may pertain to a commodity, product, or service.

Consumer’s Consent To Quotestorm’s “Disclosure” Of Personal Information

The Consent hereby granted to Quotestorm by Consumers for the “disclosure” of personal information shall include the disclosure and transmission of the same by Quotestorm to any person or entity who in Quotestorm sound discretion constitutes a person or entity of interest who is either authorized to receive the information or otherwise desirable to initiate or effectuate a commercial transaction, including the sale of insurance products, with the Consumer. Consumers hereby understand and consent to Quotestorm’s disclosure of personal information as such whether or not Quotestorm gets compensated for the Disclosure and fully understanding that Quotestorm may be compensated for the disclosure. Consumers hereby understand and consent to Quotestorm’s disclosure of the Consumer’s personal information even if the recipient of the disclosed information is not bound by this or any other Privacy Policy or not restricted in any sense with respect to how to treat the personal information. Consumers understand that some recipients of the personal information are not controlled by Quotestorm and such recipients may have little to no restrictions with respect to the treatment, handling, and use of the personal information. Consumer further understands that the recipient of disclosed information is hereby authorized to contact the Consumer to initiate or effectuate a commercial transaction. Consumer information may also be disclosed by Quotestorm in the interests of justice, pursuant to court order, or to protect the rights of others, including Quotestorm. Finally, Quotestorm hereby reserves the right to disclose, lease, sell, assign or transfer Consumer Information, and most notably in the event that Quotestorm wishes to sell its assets in whole or in part or otherwise merge or consolidate its business with that of another

Third Party And Network Ads

Quotestorm will use the Consumer’s information to request from other vendors certain quotes, services, or other information pertaining to insurance or other products or services. SUCH VENDORS MAY THEN CONTACT OR TELEMARKET TO QUOTESTORM’S CONSUMER DIRECTLY TO PROVIDE SAID SERVICES, QUOTES, OR INFORMATION, AND MAY DO SO VIA MAIL, TELEPHONE, TEXT MESSAGE, FAX, EMAIL AND OTHER MEANS OF COMMUNICATION. THE CONSUMER MAY RECEIVE TELEMARKETING CALLS FROM SEVERAL VENDORS AS A RESULT NOTWITHSTANDING THAT THE CONSUMER IS REGISTERED ON STATE OR NATIONAL DO NOT CALL (‘DNC”) REGISTRY.Accordingly, the Consumer waives his or her right to any claims for violation of the TCPA or similar laws on the grounds that the Consumer is listed on the DNC registry. Furthermore, the Consumer hereby consents to allowing matched vendors to share the consumer’s information or conduct any permissible research that is desirable to assist the vendor in determining the Consumer’s eligibility for a given insurance product or any other information incident to the Consumer’s application for insurance.

Rights Under The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) And Applicable Law

Quotestorm Has No Control Over Third Parties

Consumers may receive offers from third parties incident to the use of Quotestorm’s services. In this case, any information disclosed by the Consumer to such third parties is subject to the privacy policies of such third parties. Quotestorm is not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of such third parties. A Consumer who wishes to object to or otherwise opt out of the services or practices of such third parties much contact such third party directly.

Amendments To Privacy Policy

Quotestorm reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. Amendments will take effect immediately upon us posting the updated Privacy Policy.
